Spirograph Wall Clock

Complex forms through simple Geometry.

The captivating veneer spiral that forms the face of this bespoke wall clock is formed by rotating a circle around a pivot and tracing the outlines at set divisions. The resulting inverwoven spirals set out the hour-divisions of the clock face.

In this piece multiple species of veneer, selected for their gradient tones, are combined in intersecting rings to add an almost three-dimensional texture to the flat face.

The clock face is ringed in a solid Sapele border and features a sweep clock mechanism where the hands glide silently across the surface rather than ticking.
